I bought this book looking for a solid military romance, and it exceeded my expectations!
Nixon Swagger is everything you want in an Alpha hero: honorable, protective, and deeply devoted. But what made this story truly shine for me was McKenna. She isn't a "damsel in distress" at all. Despite the heavy responsibility of raising her two teenage siblings after a family tragedy, she is feisty, capable, and has a real backbone. Their chemistry is electric from the start.
There’s a great balance of small-town drama and high-stakes action involving a government contract. It’s fast-paced and beautifully written.

The intimate scenes are steamy and well-executed. They aren't over-the-top or vulgar, but they definitely have that "bite" and passion that makes the romance feel real.
This is one of those books that will stay in my library for a re-read. If you love a protective hero, a strong heroine, and a plot that keeps you turning the pages, grab this one!
